The Children's Fairyland park, created in 1950, is a historic ten-acre recreational and educational facility aimed at children ages one to ten. It is located on the north shores of Lake Merritt, off Freeway 580, next to Lakeside Park. Attractions include child size buildings, rides, fairy tale exhibits, animals, and talking storybooks, as well as a theater.
