Spread over 1,829 acres of rolling hills and low-peaked mountains, Redwood Regional Park is a heavily wooded natural paradise, featuring the ancient, massive coastal redwood tree. There are many hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking trails winding through the park, and visitors can reserve a campground in order to experience the forest at night. Set due east of Oakland, the park is past Joaquin Miller Park and Roberts Regional Recreation Area.
