The Oakland Zoo sits in the 525-acre Knowland Park, and is home to 400 native and exotic animals. The facility is located just off Freeway 580, and abuts the Knowland Arboretum. The zoo features a rides area for children, party packages, and occasionally an overnight opportunity to see the wildlife under the stars.
