Dunsmuir House & Gardens features a 37-room neoclassical mansion, situated on 50 acres that include a swimming pool, pond, gardens, pavilion, carriage house and guest residence. Tours of the home, built in 1899, highlight its spectacular architectural and stylistic features, such as the 10-foot-wide Tiffany-style glass dome that tops the staircase and the inlaid hardwood floor of the entry foyer. Also available for rental for weddings, indoor or outdoor receptions and other events, the home is south of the city, close to the Oakland Zoo.
